THE PROCESS
1. Submit completed application and fees to PCS
2. PCS reviews complete application and all required eligibility materials (See Candidate Information Bulletin)
If application is incomplete, PCS will notify candidate of missing information
If application is complete, PCS will mail exam materials to candidate
3. PCS mails examination material to candidate
For practical exams, admission materials should arrive approximately 10 days before exam date
For theory exams, Authorization to Test Letter should arrive within 7 days
If candidate has not received materials, please contact PCS at 1-888-822-3272
4. Candidate takes examination(s)
5. Score results are sent to candidate
PCS will mail official practical score 10 days after exam
PCS will mail official theory score 10 days after exam
6. When theory and the practical exams are passed, candidate will be sent a Licensure Fee Notice
Candidate mails Licensure Fee Notice (along with required license fee) to the VA Board office for license
NOTE: Please allow the VA Board office 30 days to issue license.
7. If you fail an exam, candidate must receive official score notice from PCS before re-applying.
