Step 1 – Submit a PE Comity application and all required materials. Board applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and the normal processing time for comity applications is six months after receipt of all required documentation.
Step 2 – Once the board makes a decision on your approval for a MAPE license, they will notify PCS of the approved candidates. PCS will then mail the approved candidates a letter with further licensing information. Candidates not approved will be contacted by the MA board office regarding your status.
Step 3 – When approved candidates receive the approval letter, they may call in to pay the licensing fee with either a VISA / MasterCard, or send a corporate check payable to Engineering Examination Services. The MAPE license/wall certificate fee is $107.00.
Step 4 – Once the licensing fee has been paid in full, candidates will receive a pocket license and may view their license number within 2 weeks at www.mass.gov. Wall certificates will be received within 90 calendar days of paying the license fee.
