A Professional Engineer registered in his or her own state under equivalent qualifications may be given a permit to practice in Massachusetts for 30 days in each calendar year. If the applicant has a pending application for registration in Massachusetts, he or she may be given a permit valid until the Board acts on the permanent license application and is approved by the Board. Please be advised that applicants who are residents or have a business address in the state of Massachusetts cannot obtain a temporary permit.
